Auger Drives

Dawson’s excavator mounted Auger Drives are designed to fit via an adaptor plate to the stick arm of an excavator. It runs via the hydraulics that otherwise supply the bucket.

With an Auger Drive vertical holes can be drilled anywhere the excavator goes. It is ideal for drilling anywhere with low headroom constraints, i.e. on railway embankments, under bridges or near power lines.

Choose between 2 models, EMD 15 and EMD 20 ranging from 5.59 kNm to 30.51 kNm – please refer to the table. EMD stands for Excavator Mounted Drill. The EMD 15 is with two speed bidirectional motor and a planetary two stage gearbox and the EMD20 with variable speed bi-directional motor and a planetary three stage gearbox.

Both sizes are well suited for excavator sizes from 11 – 18 tonnes.
